Judge Alex's bailiff Mason C. Burroughs brings more than twenty-one years in law enforcement and training as a security and investigative expert to "Judge Alex." The former Los Angeles Police Department detective and "Bodyguard to the Stars" serves as the court officer and maintains order in Judge Alex's courtroom.

Mason C. Burroughs began his career in law enforcement at the Los Angeles Police Department's Police Academy, and in three years rose to the rank of Undercover Detective where he spent the next eighteen years as a leading investigator. For five years, he worked as undercover gang expert with LAPD's CRASH team (Community Recourses Against Street Hoodlums). His additional training includes Homicide Investigation Training, Auto Theft Investigations, Effective use of Surveillance Measures, Counter Surveillance Tactics, Driving Maneuvers, and Personal Protection and Dignitary Protection Training. This culmination of experience and training makes him one of the most sought after security and investigative experts in law enforcement.

Outside Judge Alex's courtroom, Burroughs has served as a technical advisor on films such as "187" and "Crack House," and provides security and personal protection to dignitaries, major private corporations and A-list celebrities. Known as the "Bodyguard to the Stars" his A-list clients include Paris Hilton, the Hilton Family, Mel-B, Thalia, Usher, Muhammad Ali, Jermaine Dupree, Lindsay Lohan, Ken Norton Sr., Sugar Ray Leonard, actress Marla Gibbs, composer Quincy Jones, actor Darius McQuarry and a host of others.
